Dr. Jen, Veterinarian
Dr. Jen and Sturgis

Jennifer L. Beaulieu, DVM
Dr. Beaulieu completed her undergraduate studies at the University of New Hampshire, and received her Bachelors of Science in Pre-veterinary Medicine in May of 1996. She started working in the veterinary field in 1990, and worked as a veterinary assistant, veterinary receptionist and veterinary technician over the course of seven years before finally pursuing her dream of becoming a Veterinarian.

She received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Degree from Ross University, School of Veterinary Medicine in January of 2000. Her education included spending two and one-third years of academic studies on the island of St. Kitts in the Caribbean, and one year of clinical rotations at Purdue University, School of Veterinary Medicine in Lafayette, Indiana. She graduated third in her class with academic honors.

Dr. Beaulieu took her first position as a full-time veterinary associate at Fisherville Animal Hospital in Concord, NH in February of 2000. She worked there for seven years before opening the Lake Side Animal Hospital in January of 2007. Her special interests are in surgery and medicine involving dogs and cats. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the New Hampshire Veterinary Medical Association, the Association of Shelter Veterinarians and the American Association of Feline Practitioners. She is an advocate of spaying and neutering, and has a strong belief in preventative veterinary care for pets. She has five pets of her own.

She currently lives in Northfield, NH with her husband, Steve, and daughter, Alison. They share their home with their two cats, Roxx and Dexter, their dog, Sturgis and their two rats, Winslow and Liddell. Some of Dr. Jen's favorite past times include: spending time with her family, camping, playing with Alison and Sturgis, motorcycle riding with her husband on their Harley Davidson, reading and horseback riding when she has time.

Veterinary Technician, Jen
Jen, Abby, Taz and Orion

Jennifer Hauschulz, LVT
Jen graduated from New Hampshire Community Technical College in May 2001 with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. She was employed at an animal hospital in Concord, NH, where she met and established a great working rapport with Dr. Jen!

Jen finds her job at Lakeside Animal Hospital very rewarding. She loves to educate clients in the care of their pets and helping to treat them throughout their lives. Her greatest satisfaction comes from participating in the care of critically sick pets and helping them recover back to health so they can be reunited with their families.

Jen lives in Penacook with her husband Rene, children Rob and Rhiannon and their pets Abby (black lab), Taz (Siamese cat), and Orion (her son's leopard gecko). In her free time, she enjoys reading, hiking, gardening, listening to music and spending time with her family.

Becky

Becky Fletcher, Veterinary Technician
Rebecca Fletcher has worked in the animal field for several years. She started working in a small veterinary practice as an assistant and gradually increased her knowledge over the years with "hands on" experience to become the technician she is today. Four of those years were at an animal rescue league where she was in charge of the overall care and health of all the animals waiting to be adopted. She continues her career in the veterinary field with guidance from Dr. Jen and continuing education courses.

Rebecca currently resides in Franklin with her husband and furry, four-legged children; three dogs: Sammie, a lab-cross, Sarge, a malamute-cross, Coco, a pitbull-cross and six cats: Simon, Markie, Nixie, Tilly, King Louie and Klein. Can you tell she worked for an animal rescue organization?!?! And, don't forget about a turtle named Dudette.

Althea
Althea, Alan, Emma and Murray

Althea Caveney, Receptionist
Althea has been a veterinary receptionist for over 8 years. She enjoys working with the public and the animals.

She has four children, 3 furry one - Cuddles & Ira, who are both 2-year old domestic shorthaired cats, and Murray who is a 1 1/2-year old black lab/golden mix. Her daughter Emma is very active in sports and loves school. Althea helps to coach all the sports that Emma is involved in, as well as volunteering at her school.

Althea's husband is Alan. She helps him run his HVAC business when she is not working with Dr. Jen.

Her interests are family time, traveling, the ocean, camping, walking, knitting, music and photography.

Stephanie

Stephanie Fraser, Receptionist
I started working in a veterinarian's office when I was in high school and have never left. I really enjoy helping pets and their owners; sharing my experiences and theirs is the best part of my job. Or maybe it's hugging and kissing all the new puppies and kittens.

I currently have 5 dogs, 3 cats and 2 children.

I'm also involved with sled dog racing and skijoring. I hope to see you all soon!

Brianna

Brianna McGovern,  Kennel Assistant / Vet Technician in Training
Brianna has worked in "animal related" facilities for 3 years. She began as a kennel attendant at Kenny's Kennel; where dogs were boarded and groomed and cats were boarded. She bathed the dogs and assisted with grooming. Then she started here at LSAH as a kennel assistant and is currently being trained as a technician.

In September of 2004 Brianna attended SUNY Canton in Canton, NY for the first year of a two year program in the Vet Technician curriculum. She completed a course through Stratford Career Instintute for "Veterinary Assistant" and is now certified. She will soon be enrolling in Purdue's VTDLP (Veterinary Technician Distance Learning Program).

Brianna is originally from Johnson City, NY. She has lived in New Hampshire since September of 2005. She is and always has been an avid animal lover. She has owned a variety of animals through the course of her life; including cats, dogs, rats, mice, hamsters, cockatiels, parakeets, a bunny, turtles, and a duck. Right now her family includes a German Shepard, Xena; four cats, Bean, Kimba, Moo Cow and Foo Foo; a bunny named Snickers; two parakeets, Bugs and Bunny; three turtles, Dank, Dr. Dro, and Baby Turtle; an African clawtoed frog named Saint; and a duck named Darkwing! She lives with her fiance Mike in Alexandria. They are to be married on June 14th, 2008!

Geoffrey N. Clark, DVM, Diplomate, ACVS - Veterinary Surgery of New England
Dr. Clark operates a mobile surgical practice and comes into our hospital to perform orthopedic procedures such as leg fractures and cruciate ligament tear repairs. Being a mobile surgeon he eliminates the need for patients who would otherwise need to travel for a referral. He's also one of the best orthopedic surgeons in New Hampshire.

Dr. Clark offers laser surgery techniques for procedures such as stenotic nares, soft palate resections and everted saccules (on some of the smaller, brachycephalic breeds like Pugs or Bulldogs). Dr. Clark has performed several ear resection cases at LSAH (dogs or cats that have chronic ear infections). He can do more extensive surgeries than Dr. Jen. If there is a necessary surgery that is more complicated than Dr. Jen feels comfortable handling, we call Dr. Clark, a Board Certified Surgeon.

Dr. Clark is married and has two daughters, Olivia and Juliette.
