Rebecca Fletcher, Veterinary Technician | Customer
Service

Becky Fletcher has worked in the animal field for over 15 years. She started working in a small veterinary practice as an assistant in Massachusetts and gradually increased her knowledge over the years with "hands on" experience to become the technician she is today. Four of those years were at an animal rescue league where she was in charge of the overall care and health of the animals waiting to be adopted. She continues her career in the veterinary field with guidance from the doctors at Lake Side and continuing education courses. She has multiple positions at Lake Side as Veterinary Technician, Receptionist and Director of Public Contact (email and newsletters). She truly enjoys working with animals and educating owners about their pets’ health. Areas of interest are client education, surgery and animal behavior.

Becky currently resides in Franklin with her husband and son. They also share their home with two dogs, Sammie and Magic, and two cats, Tom and Custard. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, movies, camping, kayaking, and spending time with her family.

Alison Thomas – LVT, CVT, Veterinary Technician

Alison has been a veterinary technician for over twenty years. She graduated from the University of New Hampshire in 1996 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Wildlife Management.

She is originally from Rhode Island, where she worked for both general and specialty veterinary practices. Her areas of interest are critical care, dentistry and ophthalmology.

Alison lives in Salisbury with her husband and two daughters, as well as her black lab Sawyer and her cats Finn and Pip. Her other interests include reading, fitness, and spending time with friends and family.

Brittany Shaw, Receptionist / Customer Service

Brittany graduated from Winnisquam High School in 2009. She has always been an animal lover and after taking Animal Science her senior year, she knew she wanted to pursue a career with animals. She began her career here at Lake Side in 2010 as a kennel assistant and is now a front desk receptionist. She also enjoys helping the technicians, especially on surgery days. Her areas of interest are client education, assisting with dentals, surgery and cytology.

Brittany lives in Northfield with her husband Ethan, their chihuahua Violet (who loves to greet people here at Lake Side) and their cat Archer. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the movies, and spending time with her family.

Mackenzie, Kennel / Veterinary Assistant

Mackenzie started working at Lake Side in May of 2015 as a part time kennel assistant. Now she is now working as a full time Veterinary Assistant. She hopes to further her career by attending college and achieving a degree in the animal field.

Mackenzie currently lives in Laconia, NH with her boyfriend Zachary, along with her two cats Billie and Ozzy. Outside of work she loves to spend time with friends and family.

Alyssa Marsh, Receptionist / Customer Service

Alyssa graduated from Chester College of New England in 2009, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. She started in her position as Front Desk Customer Service Representative at Lake Side Animal Hospital in April of 2014. Alyssa has been in the customer service field for over ten years.

Alyssa lives in Northfield with her wonderful boyfriend Dan, and her even more wonderful cats Willie, Eileen, Eleanor and John. In her spare time, she enjoys long car rides with good music, spending time with friends and family, and getting dragged to the top of various mountains by Dan.

A lover of animals big and small, she pretty much hit the jackpot when she found Lake Side.

Anna Ahl, Veterinary Technician

Anna
Anna has been working in the veterinary field for over ten years. When she was at younger, her aunt put her to work at her grooming salon, bathing and grooming animals. This ignited her love of animals and she eventually went to Essex Agricultural and Technical Institute majoring in Animal and Environmental Sciences.

Anna has had multiple pets over the years, including dogs, lizards, ferrets, fish, a hedgehog, cat and a beautiful Tennessee Walking Horse. She lives with her husband and her goofy dog, Tucker. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, camping, spending time with friends and family, horseback riding and figure skating.

She is so happy to be part of the Lake Side team!

Lake Side Animal Hospital Support Staff

Part Time Veterinarians

Dr. Jen Panebianco, DVM

Dr. Panebianco attended the University of New Hampshire and graduated with degrees in animal science and mathematics. In 2000, she received her veterinary degree from The Ohio State University. She joined the Concord Banfield Team May 2016. Dr. Panebianco grew up with a variety of animals on her small farm in North Hampton, NH and started down the path to becoming a veterinarian when she was riding dressage at UNH and realized she enjoyed the barn more than the classroom. Participating in Therapeutic Horseback Riding solidified her desire to support the human animal bond. Since that time, she has truly enjoyed developing relationships with her clients and pets. Her professional interests include dentistry and oral surgery. When not in the office, Dr. Panebianco enjoys exploring with her 2 children, quilting, knitting and sewing.

Dr. George Messenger, DVM

Dr. George Messenger, DVM Dr. George attended Illinois State University and received a BS in Biology in 1974. He then attended the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. Over the next 10 years, he took care of the usual pets such as dogs and cats, but also more exotic pets such as birds, reptiles and exotic small mammals. He opened up his own practice in Concord in 1994 (Fisherville Animal Hospital & Bird Clinic). During that time, Dr. Jen Taylor worked for him before she left to open up the Lake Side Animal Hospital in Tilton. He sold Fisherville in 2012, and had to undergo open-heart surgery in 2013. After a very short retirement, he started working as a per diem/relief vet all over the state, working in a number of emergency clinics and day practices, including Lake Side. His favorite job by far is lake Side, because he and Dr. Jen get along so well and have the same mind-set about just about everything (after all – she and him learned veterinary medicine together for quite a while). It is funny that he has come full circle – as he has been told: “the master has now become the student”.

Dr. Messenger lives in Concord with his wife Shaela and has a number of beloved pets: a cute little French bulldog named Tilly, three birds and 3 cats. He has a number of hobbies, including cycling (both motorized and not), gardening, fishing and spending time with his wife. He also has two amazing children – Laura and Andrew.

Geoffrey N. Clark, DVM, Diplomate, ACVS

 - Veterinary Surgery of New England

Dr. Clark operates a mobile surgical practice and comes into our hospital to perform orthopedic procedures such as leg fractures and cruciate ligament tear repairs. Being a mobile surgeon he eliminates the need for patients who would otherwise need to travel for a referral. He's also one of the best orthopedic surgeons in New Hampshire.

Dr. Clark offers laser surgery techniques for procedures such as stenotic nares, soft palate resections and everted saccules (on some of the smaller, brachycephalic breeds like Pugs or Bulldogs). Dr. Clark has performed several ear resection cases at LSAH (dogs or cats that have chronic ear infections). He can do more extensive surgeries than Dr. Jen. If there is a necessary surgery that is more complicated than Dr. Jen feels comfortable handling, we call Dr. Clark, a Board Certified Surgeon.
